Be Confident, not Arrogant

A lot of the time, people exhume an air of arrogance, cutting others off and keeping a closed mind. However, those same people tend to deny that they are arrogant, stating that they are confident instead.

This is only partly true.

The difference between arrogance and confidence lies in the attitudes, confidence shows certainty in what one says, whilst arrogance shows dismissal towards other ideas. They can coexist, but often times they are both blanketed as solely being arrogance. I say, be confident, not arrogant.

Arrogance involves putting other ideas down, in other words, keeping a closed mind. Arrogant people are not successful. Confidence involves being certain of what you say, and do, respecting others whilst being clear and certain about your own ideas. Confident people are successful.
